Jeff Green joins Roc Nation Sports to handle upcoming free agency
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Cavaliers forward Jeff Green has signed his second deal in the past few months -- this time with Roc Nation Sports, the agency Green has chosen to represent him moving forward.
Green and Roc Nation made the deal official on social media Thursday afternoon, announcing it with a picture of him signing the contract.
Green, who signed a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum with the Cavs this off-season, has become a key member of the team's productive second unit, adding needed versatility and athleticism.
After a down year with the Orlando Magic in 2016-17, Green has started to rebuild his value, averaging 10.7 points on 50 percent shooting and 33 percent from 3-point range to go with 2.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 steals in 20.9 minutes.
Founded by Jay-Z in 2008, Roc Nation is a full-service management, music publishing and entertainment company.
In 2013, Jay-Z's love of sports led to the building of Roc Nation Sports, which features other NBA players Kevin Durant, Justise Winslow, Rudy Gay, Willie Cauley-Stein, Caris LeVert and Jeremy Lin, among others. Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson is also part of the Roc Nation Sports roster.
